Contemporary Challenges In The Feild Of Hadeeth
The widespread assaults on the Mubarak Hadith of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) are no secret to any person of this field. Whilst these attacks progressively increase, the ummah on the other hand, is faced with the predicament of “internal cracks” and widespread disarray among so called “Hadith Scholars”.
Al-‘Allāmatul Muhaddith, Shaykh Muhammad ‘Awwamah (hafizahullāh) addressed these two contemporary challenges in the field of Hadith in a paper that he presented to a gathering of the most senior Scholars of the world. These words of advice are of a seasoned expert of Hadith, who has made remarkable contributions to this field.
Although this paper was delivered over ten years ago, its contents are extremely important, and are actually more applicable today than when it was delivered.
Contemporary Fatwa
The Proof of the perfection of the religion of Islam is its practical implementation in every time and era. Allah Ta'ala chose the illustrious Fuqaha (Jurists) to analyze contemporary issues in the light of the Quran, Ahadith and Juridical principles and guide the Ummah to practice on the Shar'ah. Thus the practical implementation of Islam remained alive until today.

Day of Decision: the Battle of Badr – By Mostafa al-Badawi
SKU:
SKU786786
In the Qur'an it is called Yawm al-Furgan, 'the Day of Decision". In Ramadan of the second year of the Prophet's emigration (March 624) two armies met at Badr, a remote spot in the Arabian desert. A small but well-equipped army of about one thousand pagans was defeated by just 313 Muslims, ill-equipped but divinely aided and spiritually unconquerable.
To quote the author: To outsiders, ‘this would have seemed no more than a minor skirmish between desert tribes Neither the combatants, nor the location, nor the outcome had the least importance in the eyes of the wider world, where in those days the two major powers were the Persian and Byzantine empires.'
And yet there is ample reason to consider Badr the most momentous battle in history. Had the leading Muslims not survived, there would have been little prospect of Islam, the true religion, surviving. The world's history would have been unimaginably different.
